In brief

Hamstead Road Baptist Church in Handsworth was built in around 1890, in the Early English style, built of red sandstone with ashlar sandstone dressings. It became a Grade II listed building in 1982. The building was sold in 2015, and by 2016, it was now a mosque called Masjid Assalaam. The Ikhewa Centre is also now based in this former church building.
