The Herbert, as it is also known, is an art gallery, museum, history centre, with a shop and cafe. Admission was free.

The gallery is host to touring exhibitions. From 'Exposted The Body in Art from Durer to Freud' in 2014 to 'Dippy in Coventry' in 2023 (will be there for three years).

Dippy in Coventry

Remember when Dippy from the Natural History Museum, London came to Gas Hall at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery in 2018? Well he is back in the West Midlands. This time at The Herbert for three years starting from late February 2023. Book online to see him in person.
